CUB-O
January 5, 2008 - The Cub Scout Holiday Break Event

Cub-O is a fun Orienteering competition for Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos held each year during the holiday break. Event fee includes lunch, competition map for each team, souvenir map for each participant, and patch. Map training sessions for Cub Scouts and parents will be held all morning. Units can do Pack Family Camping on Friday and/or Saturday night.

The race maps have 40+ flags locations marked for the boys to find. The competition maps used by each team will be available at the District Roundtable meetings in February.

2008 SR2 Spring O-Meet Information and Registration Packet.

Try courses in 6 categories from beginner to advanced at the Spring Orienteering Meet! Try your orienteering skills and have a great time outdoors. Saturday and Sunday, March 24-25, 2007 at SR2. Open to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, and the public. This is a two-day Class B orienteering event sanctioned by the US Orienteering Federation (USOF), in conjunction with the North Texas Orienteering Association (NTOA) and is open to Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, adults, ROTC units, and the public.

Beginner's Orienteering Clinics will be offered at 9:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Participants in the class must be registered IN the meet.
I
ntermediate Clinic at 10:30. Participants in the class must be registered IN the meet.

At Score-O 2007 we'll again have completely new 5-color orienteering maps and three 400 gallon water buffaloes for water refills.


Score-O is a fast-paced Orienteering competition - the Longhorn Council's most popular event! Your team gets a SCORE-O map half an hour before the race starts. The 2007 map will have all new control points to find. You plan your strategy to find the most flags and score the maximum point total possible in 4 hours! The course is set with multiple water refill points. For teams of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers and adults. Cub Scout camping is allowed for groups traveling a long distance.
